Vita

Didi Danquardt is a director of feature films and documentaries. From 2001 to 2007 he taught "artistic film" full-time at the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) in Karlsruhe. From 2009-2021 Didi Danquart held a professorship for feature film/directing at the Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne.
Through his work at the KHM, he has increasingly turned to the subgenres of television drama again in recent years. In 2012 he shot the chamber play thriller "Das Letzte Wort" (The Last Word) by Austrian author Paul Hengge and in 2015/16 the philosophical "Pulp Story" Goster by actively intervening in the diegesis of the material with drawn comics.
More recently, his freelance focus has also been more on writing film material (script) and smaller essays. Thus, the following fictional screenplays were written in quick succession: "Goldfrauen" (2017), "Raabe Baikal" (2018), the treatment "Lilly of Luxembourg" (2019/20, together with Razvan Radulescu) and most recently the present documentary screenplay "Hausmeister im KZ in Zeiten des Vergessens" (2021).
