FITORE MUZAQI was born in Kosovo and came to Germany in 1995. After her BA in Literature, Culture, Media and Social Sciences, she followed up with an MA in Communication Arts - Narrative Environments. Since 2017 she has been working as a writer, director and creative producer for WDR and Cologne-based production companies. As a director and screenwriter she deals with cultural differences, feminism and injustice in an absurdly funny yet serious way.

She is a founding member of Female Filmmakers CGN and since 2023 a board member of DDV.
