FLORIAN TRAUTMANN was born in Cologne, grew up in Cologne and Bonn. Did a lot of sports and played trumpet in his youth, later added electric bass. Painted and tinkered a lot. During his school years he was a member of the "Licht und Ton AG" (responsible for the technology at school events). After graduating from school, initially aimed for an apprenticeship as a carpenter. Made contact with the first student film. Completed several projects in the production design department. After almost two years, start of a carpentry apprenticeship in Aachen. Until the entrance exam at the ifs, participation in four other film projects as a prop driver. Since 2019, studying production design at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln, graduating in 2023.
