MA Digital Narratives
Vita
GUILLAUME SAINDON worked as an actor and director since 2011 in theatre, television and film. His work has aired on CBC, TFO and LPB. The plays on which he has worked as director and assistant director have gone to festivals such as the Zones Théâtrales. Following his graduation from the University of Ottawa and the Prague Film School, Guillaume completed an M.A. in Digital Narratives at the ifs internationale filmschule köln in Germany. There, he studied the impact of digital technologies on theatre and vice-versa. His research deals with the notions of immersion, interaction, transmedia and the use of new digital avenues.
Guillaume now also acts as creative director, ensuring the well-being of projects, developing for various digital devices as creative technologist and conceptualizing ludic means of interaction as amateur game designer.
Guillaume has also had the opportunity recently to collaborate with the Théâtre du Trillium and the NFB. These current projects adopt documentary approaches to storytelling with ‘old’ and ‘new’ media, straddling liminal spaces between fact and fiction. Others consider the use of game mechanics in the creation of immersive and interactive environments.
