JUAN BERMÚDEZ was born in 1989 in Bogotá, Colombia. After completing his film studies in Bogotá at the Blackmaria Film School, he moved to Poland to continue his directing career at the Warsaw Film School, from which he graduated in 2020. During his career, he wrote and directed several short films, some of which were very successful at various international film festivals. He also wrote feature film scripts and worked in different areas of film craft for film projects in countries such as Poland, Colombia, USA and the Netherlands. In the summer of 2023, he completed the Master's programme in Film at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln. The pitch of his feature film project THE SILENCE OF FISH won the Development Award at the Cluster Audiovisual - Audiovisual International Talent Week in Barcelona 2022.
