Kat Schmitz, born 2000 in Ahlen. After graduating from high school, spent some time in Sweden, Thailand and the Caribbean as a bartender and an NGO worker. As a trained english language correspondent, they then successfully completed their studies in media and communications in Augsburg. During this time, they worked in public relations and advertising and was a journalistic presenter at the university radio station Kanal C and interned at WDR Bonn. Since 2021 has then also professionally established in the film industry. Successfully executed camera work, sound, post production and directing in a production company in Munich; realized documentaries in Israel, Sweden and Germany. Screened at DOK.fest in Munich as a production assistant (documentary: Geschlossene Gesellschaft). Studying at the ifs since 2023.
