KIRA DUCKWITZ has always loved stories. She wrote her first stories in pictures and scribbles before she had even learned to write. That passion evolved into her writing short stories, poems, and eventually screenplays as she grew up. After discovering her love for filmmaking and starting to make short films and music videos with her friends, she decided to pursue this interest as a career and studied Film and Television Production at the University of York in the United Kingdom, where she learned to work in various fields in the film and TV industry. Her love for stories, their characters and worlds remained her greatest interest, though, so she has continued to write, while working as a script supervisor on the series »Dahoam is Dahoam« (Bayrischer Rundfunk). Studying at the ifs since 2023.
