LEYLA ROY born in Paris in 1992, grew up in Vienna, where in her young years played the piano and also a bit of theater. After high school back to Paris where first studied communication & advertising. Followed by a one-year intensive course in singing with a focus on jazz and a degree from the Ecole du Jeu drama school. In 2015 moved to Berlin, where participated in several film projects as an actress, including the feature film "Heikoswelt" by Dominik Galizia. In July 2018, passion for film production was discovered through her first internship as a production assistant at DUKA Film, an independent production company that produces aesthetic arthouse films. Winter 2019 saw a visit to Kibbutz Neot Semadar in the southern Negev Desert in Israel, where 7 months of various agricultural works were carried out, and also writing the script for a feature-length film. During the Corona Pandemic, she decides to stay in Stockholm, taking two different dance courses at the state art college SKH and at the same time working as an international customer consultant for the Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios, before returning to film production. Studying at the ifs since 2021.
