MATTEA STEFFENS born in 2000 in Lörrach, Germany. 2018 to 2019 Mattea Steffens is gaining experience at a film production company in Basel, Switzerland. Since 2019, she has been working as an assistant editor for various cinema and television productions. On the side, she is an employee at an inclusive facility for children and adolescents. The short documentary "Bis Morgen" (director: Kevin Biele), for which she is responsible for editing and sound design, will premiere at the 56th International Hof Film Festival in 2022. In addition, "Bis Morgen" is part of "doxs! dokumentarfilme für kinder und jugendliche" in 2022, where the film will be discussed with school classes. In 2023, the film will be shown at Vienna Shorts. Mattea likes to try out fictional as well as documentary narrative forms. Studied Editing Picture & Sound at ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln from 2019 until 2023.
