PAULINE SCHLÄGER born in 1996 and grew up in Hamburg. During school she gained experience as a child actress in feature films and theater. But even then she found the work behind the camera more exciting. Wrote her own stories and scripts, spent nights teaching herself editing programmes and shot her first films with a camcorder in the 5th grade. She never lost sight of her desire to become a director. After graduating from high school, she completed a six-month internship at Markenfilm in Hamburg. Then studied media science in Bayreuth for five semesters, attending hardly any lectures and using the time only for my own projects: Taking over the chief editorial office for university television CampusTV, setting up theater and dance shows, and organising a photography competition. Then moved to Cologne to study film at ifs. Studied Directing at ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln from 2019 until 2023, while she produced other short films, gained experience as a producer, took on commissions for image videos, and worked as an editor.
