Creating new worlds - that can be done well in film. Especially through the use of visual effects, unusual and impressive images can be created. This ensures that these newly created worlds become alive and controllable. The fascination for this led me to explore the possibilities of film alone and with friends already in early childhood. Other creative activities such as making music and drawing became interwoven with this, and finally my enthusiasm for visual effects manifested itself through my fondness for fantastic films and video games. Recently, I have been paying special attention to 3D grooming - the digital creation of fur and hair and their simulation - because in this process the combination of technical know-how and artistic expression is equally emphasised and challenged. Every project offers exciting challenges that necessitate fresh approaches. As a result, new workflows are constantly being created.
