Simona Vallicotti

SIMONA VALLICOTTI was born and raised in Switzerland. She entered the media world through a specialised baccalaureate in Media and Communication as well as internships at radio stations and comprehensive professional training at the radio school klipp+klang. She then obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Multimedia Production with a specialisation in Film and TV Production and worked simultaneously as an editor and project manager at SRF Virus, the youth station of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). She worked for a total of 10 years in various roles at SRF, including as a developer, producer and camerawoman for series such as  »True Talk«, as a director of live programmes such as »SRF Bounce Cypher«, as the voice of SRF Virus and as team leader and specialist manager for the Video department. At the same time, she held a teaching position at the University of Applied Sciences of Graubünden for eight years and worked as a lecturer and voice and speech coach. After taking a career break to pursue private education (language studies in Italy, courses in screenwriting and music production), she has been living in Germany since autumn 2023. Here she works as an editor and format developer for SWR and ARD Mediathek, most recently as part of the ESC Deutschland team. From February 2026, she will be working as a senior format developer at "DRIVE Beta".

Simona Vallicotti completed her master's degree in "Entertainment Producing" at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln in autumn 2025.
