SIMONA VALLICOTTI was born and raised in Switzerland. She found her way into the world of media through her specialist baccalaureate in the field of «media and communication» as well as through internships at radio stations and comprehensive specialist training at the radio school «klipp+klang».
She then earned a Bachelor of Science in «Multimedia Production» with specialization in «Film and TV Production» and worked at the same time as an editor and project manager at «SRF Virus», the youth channel of Swiss Radio and Television (SRF). In total, she worked in various functions at SRF for 10 years, including, for example, as a developer, producer, and camerawoman for series such as «True Talk», as a director for live programs such as «SRF Bounce Cypher», as the station voice for «SRF Virus» or as a team leader and specialist responsible for the «Video» department. At the same time, she had a teaching assignment at the University of Applied Sciences in Graubünden for 8 years, where she worked as a lecturer respectively voice and speech trainer. After a career break with private training (language stay in Italy, courses in screenwriting or music production), she will be working as an editor and format developer for the SWR / media library from autumn 2023. Studying at the ifs since 2023.
