Stefan Jähner graduated from the Institute for Music and Media in 2011 with a degree in sound and visual engineering. After working as a freelancer in various areas of post-production for television production and advertising, he focused more on visual effects and initially worked for several years as a 3D and VFX artist at the company Stargate, which is known for series such as "The Walking Dead or "Heroes". During this time he also developed his passion for procedural workflows and "Side Effects Houdini". His interest in integrating software into existing pipelines and also developing in-house software then brought him to Rise FX in 2018, where Stefan shares responsibility for the integration and development of the in-house pipeline. As a Pipeline TD, he was involved in films and series such as Stranger Things, Dark or Shazam.
