I’m interested in images that make something tangible that can’t be explained directly. I believe that stories become particularly powerful when they don’t just show people, but really get close to them. That’s exactly where my work with images begins. I try to make moods, relationships and inner tensions visible. Perhaps that is also why I love film so much – because it can only be created collaboratively. It is only through the different perspectives of the people involved that a world emerges which feels genuine and alive.
When all these layers come together, moments sometimes arise that feel particularly true. It is for precisely these moments that I make films.
