Flaubert writes: "There is more reality in thoughts than in things." For me, there is even more reality in feelings. What we know to believe, our actions, our thoughts are nothing but a construct of a reality carefully built over the years, which we meaningfully christen "life." But life - what does that mean? Feelings in the heart beat thoughts in the head. Writing is therapy for me. Truthfulness. Truth is overrated, beauty anyway. I'm not looking for beautiful stories, I want real ones. With pulsating blood and beating heart. I am a writer. Nothing more, nothing less. Except maybe human. With all the suffering and pain and sadness and tragedy and brilliance and light and love and humor. More courage to the humor! I like pathos, I like kitsch, I like wit, I like feeling. I like life - not existence.
