Review: ifs @ Berlinale!
In addition to numerous film projects that were shown at the Berlinale and in which ifs alumni and professors were involved, there were also several events with ifs participation.
As part of the Screenwriters' Lounge organised by the German Screenwriters' Association, ifs alumni Marvin Meiendresch, Fitore Muzaqi and Beverly Stura-Cura moderated exciting panels - on international series, on writing in a collective and on fairness and inclusion mechanisms in the Writers' Room itself.
At the »Pitching Salon« of the »Into the Wild« mentoring programme, the participants of the current year presented their projects to an industry audience. The ifs graduates Sarina Laudam and Isis Rampf were also there. The ifs supports the programme as a partner - as does the »Encourage Film Talents« initiative, which initiated a networking event between up-and-coming filmmakers and the industry with talks and screenings.
The joint alumni get-together of ifs and Mediengründerzentrum NRW was a great opportunity to meet up again.
The »European Showrunner Network« event of the European Showrunner Programme of the ifs invited to intensive exchange.
Numerous alumni and students of the MA Serial Storytelling and other German and international series programmes came together at the »Series Mixer« event.
