Sony Future Filmmaker Award for »Two Travelling Aunties«, cinematography by Antonia Schäfer

»Two Travelling Aunties« won the NON-FICTION category of the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards; ifs alumna Antonia Schäfer (photo) served as director of photography.

ifs alumnus und director Simon Schneider has been awarded for »Degree of Certainty« with the Young Directors Award - Silver at Cannes Lions.

On 9 July, two films featuring ifs alumni and faculty members will premiere in theaters: the comedy »Virginia Woolf‘s Night and Day«, funded by the Film- und Medienstiftung (Assistant Art Director: ifs alumnus Jan Zinn, DI Digital Intermediate Supervisor: ifs alumnus Jan Pfitzner, Visual Effects Executive Producer: ifs-Prof. Rolf Muetze, Lead Compositing Artist: ifs alumnus Christian Heynert, Compositing Artist: ifs alumnus Matthias Backmann, ifs alumnus Justus Maus) and the documentary »Was haben wir gelacht« (Editing: ifs alumna Yana Höhnerbach, Editing assistant: ifs alumnus Leon Jendrejewski).

The pilot episode for the “Havelland-Krimi” series aired on ZDF just this past May. Filming is now underway for additional episodes of the series, directed by ifs alumna Sabine Bernardi.

The comedy »Plötzlich Mama« is also currently being filmed (Producer: ifs alumna Jenny Lorenz).

Filming for the ZDF comedy »Die Kobra von Wingen« (WT) is still underway in Berlin until the end of the month. Screenplay: ifs alumnus Klaus Wolfertstetter und Peer Klehmet.

Based on a screenplay by ifs alumna Nadine Schweigardt filming has just wrapped on the new movie in the series »Der Masuren-Krimi – Albtraum«.

ifs alumnus Duc-Thi Bui can look forward to receiving funding from the Bavarian Film and Television Fund for his treatment »Zwischen uns Meer«.
