ifs graduation film »BULLDOG« and »Himbeeren mit Senf« by ifs professor nominated

The ifs graduation film »BULLDOG« was nominated by the German Film Critics' Association for the German Film Critics' Award 2023 in two categories: »Best Feature Film Debut« (André Szardenings) and »Best Actor« (Julius Nitschkoff).
In this coming-of-age drama, the unreasonably symbiotic relationship between 21-year-old Bruno (Julius Nitschkoff) and his young mother Toni (Lana Cooper) is put to the test ... The film was made in co-production with Bayerischer Rundfunk and was supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. »BULLDOG« has already won awards at international and national festivals and was shown in cinemas in 2023.

»Himbeeren mit Senf«, directed by director and ifs professor Ruth Olshan, is nominated in the »Best Children's Film« category. She developed the screenplay together with filmmaker and ifs alumna Heike Fink.

The German Film Critics' Award has been presented by the German Film Critics' Association for over 60 years and is the only German film prize awarded exclusively by critics.
The award ceremony will take place on February 18 in Berlin.
