Workshop »Work and Connect - working with talents with disabilities« at ifs

Promoting diversity in film! Under the title "Work and Connect - Working with Talents with Disabilities", a workshop on the topic of inclusion and diversity in the film industry took place from April 20 to 23 for students in the ifs bachelor's degree program in film. The project was initiated by Tina Thiele (Ccastingnetwork.de - Initiative Cast Me In) and Susanne Grüneklee (ifs) as well as experts from the field of inclusion. Working together, the up-and-coming filmmakers and the participating acting talents with disabilities were able to gain valuable experience. The result was about-me videos, with which the actors can present themselves professionally on the job market. Among other things, the »Aesthetics of Access« approach by Lisette Reuter (Un-label) opened up new perspectives: Here, the topic of accessibility was considered as an artistic component from the very beginning. Many thanks to all participants for the inspiring and valuable workshop! #workandconnect
