"Ich bin trans'" ("I am trans*") follows trans* male acting student Gianluca as he goes through daily routines that help him feel less of a stranger in his own body, and has Gianluca explain what these steps mean to him.
Gianluca is trans*, so his gender identity differs from the sex that he was assigned at birth. In addition, he sometimes has problems to feel comfortable in his own body. He has therefore started a transition with hormones, among other things, and is wearing a binder, which has significantly increased his body acceptance. It is a way for him to feel authentic and finally be himself, instead of compulsively fulfilling the expectations of others and having to hide himself.
