A group of international classical music students has founded an experimental music collective in Berlin called »Kollektiv Unruhe«. The driving force behind the collective, which was launched in 2021, is dissatisfaction with the status quo in the contemporary music scene and its strict hierarchies, which still exist today. We tell the personal stories of three women from the group – Olivia, a bassoonist from Belfast, Lara, a vocal artist from Buenos Aires, and Saemi, a composer from South Korea – and their struggle to build a new identity and a new life in Germany.
