Cologne, March 6, 1945, shortly before the end of the Second World War.

A US Sherman tank drives on the Heumarkt towards the cathedral, is attacked with grenades and finally shot to pieces on the cathedral forecourt. The animation reconstructs this historical event digitally in 3D. In the background, the heavily destroyed city becomes visible, which was recreated in 3D with the help of historical references from the city archives. Next to the tank there are impacts with the help of FX simulations. Out of the pile of rubble stands out the cathedral, which as if by magic was not destroyed - a spark of hope.
