Without strangeness, one's own errs. I used to make hip-hop music and was actually on a good path to becoming successful with it. When I look back, I sometimes ask myself why start from scratch and why actually film? I'm driven by constantly being in touch with the unfamiliar, which means bringing the unfamiliar to the surface, always facing new challenges and discovering the hidden. With this in mind, I see documentary film as the most exciting field to try out at the moment. Here, the foreign can be experienced both in terms of content and in the process of production, and ultimately become one's own.
