I'm not looking for the classic stories, but rather for the absurdities of everyday life, for the melancholy and laconic wit and the trivialities of human coexistence. People constantly misunderstand each other, talk past each other, feel lost, overwhelmed and out of place. Nothing ever seems to work out and function as planned, and yet you never stop going out and trying again and again. If you just look, listen and observe closely enough, there is an atmosphere inherent in every situation that can be funny and tragic or both at the same time. I always try to find this atmosphere in order to tell it together with other seekers.
