The life of a management consultant and his girlfriend is turned upside down by a rented child.

Dominik is a management consultant working overtime towards his promotion, and his girlfriend Lisa-Marie wants: a child. When she therefore rents one, Dominik is far from enthusiastic. But it soon becomes obvious that he – quite in contrast to his girlfriend – is able to build a real connection to the rented child, and both adults learn what is really important to them in life, away from social expectations, and that you can't just rent everything.
