LAURA DERIEMAEKER studied Dutch and English literature at Ghent University in Belgium. She developed an interest in film and television and received her Master’s in »Audiovisual Arts: Writing« from RITCS University. After graduating, Laura gained experience with an internship in the writers’ room for a Belgian daily drama show and as a dramaturg for children’s theatre. She also worked as a researcher for non-fictional television. As a writer, Laura is drawn to telling nuanced stories and putting a spotlight on the female perspective.
