The film is part of an intercultural documentary film project by ifs and Beit Berl College in Israel. Under the title "Double Gaze," students from both schools dealt with questions of national identity, multiculturalism and migration
Abu Akka, the father of Akka, as he is respectfully called by the inhabitants of the Arab fishing town of Akka, leads us through the alleys of his home. He grew up in a neighborhood that had its own laws and where children quickly learned to grow up. To this day, his past is overshadowed by a failed prank that landed him in jail for several months as a child. This moment would shape his life forever and clings to him like a shadow. But Abu Akka also remembers the beautiful moments: his first and only love Céline, a Swiss backpacker whom he met and fell in love with in Akka. Abu Akka tells us his story as a mosaic of memories.
