Insights into the workshop with Dr. Charles Poynton & Laurens Orij

The international colour scientist Dr. Charles Poynton (Winner of the SMPTE’s David Sarnoff Gold Medal) and the world-class colourist Laurens Orij (»All We Imagine as Light« Cannes Grand Prix 2024; »Close« Oscar nomination and Cannes Grand Prix 2023) collaborated to present the workshop »Applied Colour Science for Film Production« at the ifs last Saturday that covered some of the deep fundamentals, and some important current topics, in colour science for film production.

The workshop was initiated by Cologne based colourist and lecturer Dirk Meier. Thank you for the deep insights into your valuable and award-winning work! It was great to have you at the ifs!
