Workshop of the European Showrunner Training

Part two of the threepart workshop of the European Showrunner Training took place in Cologne

Flashback! This week part two of the threepart workshop of the European Showrunner Training took place in Cologne. Showrunning means making sure the show runs, not running everything yourself. How and when do you delegate, and to whom? This time around the focus was on production and post-production. Headed by Cologne showrunner Andi Wecker (»The Team«, »Start the Fck UP«) the group developed strategies for planning and structuring TV series from greenlit status to its eventual release. To ensure quality of creative choices during production this means to oversee all aspects of production during production and not the other way around. International case studies by showrunner and ESP alumna Julie Skaufel from Norway (»Home for Christmas«) and Hungarian Showrunner Gábor Krigler (»Aranyélet (Easy Living)«, »Terápia«, »Frust«) provided fruitful insight into their way of working when production does get busy – which it usually does. See you back on site in november, guys!
