DANIEL BANGURA, a 32-year-old Sierra Leonean journalist and filmmaker, discovered his passion for audiovisual content at a young age. He pursued Mass Communications at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, graduating with a BA in Mass Communications in 2017. Following graduation, he secured a position with BBC Media Action, an international NGO charity organization affiliated with BBC World Service, where he served as a full-time Digital Media Production Assistant for three years. During his tenure at BBC, Daniel also freelanced for Non-UK BBC World Service, pitching stories around Sierra Leone and contributing to the filming of breaking news stories, interviews, documentaries, and more. Seeking new horizons, Daniel resigned from BBC Media Action and established his personal company, iPro Multimedia. His passion for documentary filmmaking led him to collaborate with esteemed international agencies such as the United Nations, European Union, and BBC. He seeks the MA in Digital Narratives at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln to acquire knowledge about new tools and theories, gain diverse perspectives, understand digital media professionally, and obtain hands-on practical experience from industry professionals.
