Vita

Award-winning writer and producer Frank Spotnitz founded Big Light Productions, a London-based production company, in 2013, to produce high-end drama with international appeal. 
Productions include Amazon’s Emmy Award-winning »The Man in the High Castle«, »Medici« (Netflix, Rai), »Ransom« (CBS, Global), »The Indian Detective« (CTV, Netflix), »Devils« (Sky) and »Leonardo« (Rai, Amazon Prime).
Spotnitz began his television career in Hollywood with the seminal science-fiction series »The X-Files«, where he served as Executive Producer, wrote or co-wrote more than 40 episodes and co-wrote and produced both feature films, »Fight the Future« and »I Want to Believe«. He shares three Golden Globes for Best Dramatic Series and a Peabody Award for his work on »The X-Files« and was Emmy-nominated both for writing and three times for Outstanding Drama Series.
Spotnitz is a founding tutor at Serial Eyes, Europe’s premier postgraduate training programme for television writers, organised by the DFFB in Berlin. More than 100 alumni are now working in the industry.
