Kwan Suppaiboonsuk is a creative technologist, researcher, and educator. Through questions, poetry, and play, they interrogate the roles of technology in society and how tools may be used to sustainably augment humanity. Weaving multidisciplinary theories and practices, they design interactive workshops and experiences at the intersection of design, data, and technology. Their work is centered around equipping people with critical digital literacy, while their research interests are around alternative and accessible practices for reclaiming tech agency.
Currently, Kwan builds digital tools for humanities research at the University of Amsterdam, while serving on the board of AIxDESIGN, a global collective working to democratize AI literacy. They have worked with various educational institutions, non-profit cultural organizations, and design agencies, delivering projects for brands like L’Oreal, Nike, and BMW. Their artistic works have been exhibited at Dutch Design Week, MozFest, and ARS Electronica.
