Ljubica Luković is a screenwriter from Belgrade, Serbia, with an MA in Serial Storytelling from the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln.
Her debut feature as a screenwriter, »How I Learned to Fly« (2022), screened at top film festivals (BUFF Malmö, Cinekid, Giffoni, Locarno, Tallinn Black nights, Kids Kino Warsaw, Pula...) winning multiple prizes, and became a box-office hit across the Balkan nations. With over 230.000 admissions domestically, it was the #1 watched film in cinemas in 2022. A series she co-wrote, »Kljun«/»Awake« premiered in competition at Canneseries 2021, where it won the Audience award. Ljubica wrote for the young adult sci-fi mystery series »Block 27« (Serbia, 2022) and the thriller »Absolute 100« (Serbia, 2023).
