Marie-Therese was born and raised near Vienna, Austria. After her Master’s degree in theatre, film and media studies at the University of Vienna, she worked as a journalist, but soon moved to Germany to study screenwriting at Hamburg Media School. Her short film »Erbgut / Liquidation« won several awards and was shortlisted for the Student Academy Award. After the TV-movie »Im Schatten der Angst« (ZDF/ORF), she co-wrote five of six episodes of the series »Am Ende – Die Macht der Kränkung« (zdfneo/ORF) and was awarded the Romy Award for Best Script TV/Stream. Her most recent work includes writing three episodes for the coming-of-age sports drama »School of Champions« (ORF/BR/SRF).
