Tijs van Marle (1976) lives and works in Holland. In 2022 he graduated from the Dutch film academy as a screenwriter. Tijs wrote 22 feature films for cinema, including some of Hollands most recent box office hits like »Verliefd op Ibiza« and the five »Mees Kees« family movies. The thriller »Lucia de B«, based on true events, was shortlisted for the foreign Oscars in 2015. With a focus on family and children’s drama, Tijs has developed into one of the Dutch specialists in this genre. Recently, Tijs has been working more and more as head writer on children’s and family series for television. For the Netflix original series »Dirty Lines«, he was part of the writing team. At this moment Tijs is working on the dystopian series »Clan« for the Dutch streamer Videoland. His Netflix original movie »The Take-Over« will air in December 2022. In 2021, Tijs made his debut as a book author with his first children’s book »Knots«, followed shortly by parts two and three.
