SYNOPSIS

»House Winnings« is a dark comedy drama with supernatural elements set in the fictitious Mediterranean island of Corsalta. A motley crew of people with ties to the online gambling industry aim to make easy money and find their place in the sun. But to make it to "the next round" of life, they are forced to face their demons and the island's shadow side.
 
Tishala, an artist from Brussels, has fled to Corsalta to escape her husband and the law. Her husband has drawn her into an illegal crypto coin pyramid scheme and she has been summoned to appear in court. Tishala wants to start anew, earn money through her job in gaming, and focus on her art. However, she gets drawn into the island's party lifestyle and is chased down by both her husband and Interpol. In addition, her new fling, a small-time drug dealer, puts her in danger.

In the world of politics, powerful figures get ahead of their ambition and are involved in corruption. This is scrutinised by a journalist whose investigation makes her an enemy of many. Meanwhile, everyone seeks the blessing of Kimia, a powerful shaman, who keeps her dying partner alive through a spell. This not only angers her partner, who is ready to die and makes several attempts to get himself killed, but also disturbs the natural balance, which has great consequences for the island.
