Amna Tariq is a filmmaker and video producer from Karachi, Pakistan, with a background in Media Sciences and a strong foundation in documentary filmmaking. Her thesis film, “Beyond Quarters”, which documented the journey of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, highlighted for her the limitations of traditional, one-way storytelling. This realisation deepened during her time at Cutacut, a digital media organisation, where she produced impactful yet transient media content. Amna is now seeking to explore experimental and interactive mediums that engage audiences as active participants. Through the MA in Digital Narratives, she aims to expand her storytelling approach, focusing on ethical, inclusive, and innovative practices in the digital age.
