DESISLAVA KASAROVA is originally from Bulgaria. She worked and studied in France and Canada for the last 10 years. She has a BA in Mass Communications (University of Sofia) and a second one in Film Studies (University of Lille). Desislava’s professional experience is mainly in the field of Marketing, but her passion has always been in film and storytelling.  She wrote an article on Chantal Akerman’s work that was published in the Canadian magazine ‘’Hors Champ’’. Before joining the ifs’ Serial Storytelling programme, she took a short course in sitcom screenwriting. In her free time, she films and develops short experimental movies on super 8 film. Studying at the ifs since 2023.
