Synopsis

When her best friend is mistakenly kidnapped in her place, Clara’s search for answers leads her to Chiron Academy, a secluded, high-security institution where children with extraordinary abilities are trained. There, she uncovers the buried history of a covert mission to Mars, where billionaire tech mogul Sterling Thorne discovered alien DNA. Obsessed with creating a new kind of human, Thorne launched a secret genetic experiment to produce superhuman children.
Clara is one of them. Stolen as an infant by a scientist who couldn’t bear the horrors of the project, she was hidden and raised to be normal. 
At Chiron, Clara meets others like her, gifted yet manipulated, indoctrinated to see the world as broken and unsalvageable. But as she digs deeper, she realizes the real threat isn’t out there.
