Media Haqshenas was born in 1997 in Tehran, Iran. During his B.Sc. in Computer Science, in a research manner, he engaged in topics such as digital media, human-computer interaction, and interaction design. Meanwhile, as a lifelong cinephile, he attended several film production courses in Tehran and Berlin and worked professionally as a director assistant, production assistant, and editor in several TV movies and short films. He has likewise made six under five-minute short films of his own. He sees digital media as one of the most versatile ways of representing culture and believes the MA Digital Narratives, with its interdisciplinary nature, is in line with his interests and aims to work as a digital creator and contemporary filmmaker.
