Frederik Hunschede was born and raised in Dortmund, Germany. After graduating from high school, gaining experience as a staff writer at Sony Pictures Germany and later as a freelance writer, he joined ITV Studios Germany as a Fiction Producer in 2014 where he supervised the series »Nix festes« and the Degeto comedy »Scheidung für Anfänger« among others. In 2019, his first own series »Think Big!« was realised for SAT.1 and nominated for the German Television Award, the German Comedy Award and the Venice TV Award for Best Comedy.

I would like to surprise audiences with original stories rather than anticipating what they're comfortable with. Preferably disarm them with comedy while challenging them with drama. As a showrunner, it's important for me to create a space where you can be dangerously truthful and unafraid with other creatives. Finding those people is one of the biggest challenges, but collaboration is not only essential, it's also the most fun part of the work.
