MARIJA MIJUŠKOVIĆ was born in Serbia but grew up in coastal Montenegro. Classical music was a big part of her childhood and early adulthood - she played the piano professionally for fifteen years. This resulted in her getting a scholarship to finish high school in England and an acceptance by the University of Oxford which she could not attend due to high tuition fees. After moving back to Belgrade and parting ways with music, she started volunteering at film festivals. This made her consider film and TV a plausible career and four years later, she received her BA in Production from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. During this time, she worked on many short films, film festivals, art exhibits and spent a semester at VSMU film academy in Bratislava via Erasmus student exchange. She’s inspired by travelling, language learning and psychoanalysing the women in her family. Studying at the ifs since 2023.
