Synopsis

At the prestigious Johann Heinrich University, brilliant but obsessive doctoral candidate Georg Heinrich risks everything to cure Alzheimer’s, building on the unfinished research of his father – Johann, now tragically afflicted by this very disease. After a public experiment ends in disaster, Georg’s career collapses. Shunned by the academic world, he accepts a secretive offer from the enigmatic Leopold Falkenstein: unlimited funding and freedom, no questions asked.
With help from ambitious PhD candidate Greta and eccentric assistant Wagner, Georg builds a device that allows minds to connect through memory-encoded water. Testing it on Johann, he begins to access his father’s memories. But as personal secrets surface – including the tragic fate of Georg’s mother – his grip on reality weakens.
Haunted by the past, consumed by obsession, Georg spirals toward collapse after experimenting on himself. Greta fights to bring him back with a breakthrough antibody, but the damage may be irreversible. As the research unravels and alliances shift, those involved must reckon with what they’ve uncovered – and what they’ve unleashed.
In the end, with Georg changed and the cure’s fate uncertain, one question lingers: Who exactly is Leopold, and what does he truly want?
