Senad Halilbašić, born in 1988 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a Vienna-based screenwriter. He gained his PhD in the field of theatre studies. He worked as a scrip consultant, for example on the hit comedy »The Migrumpies«, and the short film »Everything Will Be Okay«, which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2016. His main film credits as a writer include the thriller »7500«, which premiered in the Piazza Grande Section of the Locarno Film Festival 2019 and won him the Austrian Film Award for best screenplay. Senad recently co-wrote all 8 episodes of the final season of the hit series »Der Pass (Pagan Peak)« and an episode of Amazon’s fantasy series »Der Greif (The Gryphon)«.
