Uta Briesewitz is a graduate of the Berlin Film Academy and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where she completed her studies with an MFA in Cinematography. In the cinematography field, she is known for her early work on »The Wire«. She has been a member of the ASC since 2013. In 2011, Uta switched to directing. Her credits include »Stranger Things", »Westworld«, »The Deuce« and the Amazon fantasy series »The Wheel of Time«.
Uta lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
