Zubair Ashraf is an investigative journalist, game designer, and researcher specializing in using interactive media, such as games and XR, for storytelling on complex issues. With expertise in labor movements in the gig economy, digital governance, and data policies, he has worked with major media outlets in Pakistan, covering politics, crime, and the criminal justice system.

Zubair has also supported labor unions, NGOs, and startups in marketing and awareness campaigns. He managed LabourStart's Twitter presence and developed projects to amplify labor narratives across South Asia.

He holds a Master’s degree in Digital Narratives from the Internationale Filmschule Köln and has studied Labor Policies and Globalization at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin, as well as Mass Communication at the University of Karachi. His investigative reporting on the KiK/Ali Enterprises factory fire case earned him the 'Excellence in Reporting' award.
